LITTO's Challenges

THE PARADOX OF COMPLIANCE AND DESTIGMATIZATION

As the cannabis industry matures, LITTO’s mission is to destigmatize consumption through clinical, premium aesthetics. However, translating this vision into physical packaging presents a brutal engineering paradox: achieving rigorous child-resistant (CR) compliance while delivering an effortless, high-end unboxing experience.

THE COMPLIANCE-UX PARADOX

Passing the rigorous CFR 16.1700.20 standard requires blocking 85% of children under five, yet the structure must remain intuitive for 90% of adults—including "Silver Dabblers" with limited hand strength.

AESTHETIC DESTIGMATIZATION

The design must completely abandon the crude, subculture-tinged visual vocabulary of the legacy market. It requires a clinical, cosmetic-grade aesthetic to eliminate the psychological stigma of purchasing cannabis in dispensaries.

MASS-PRODUCTION TOLERANCES

Maintaining a precise "mechanical snap" for Slide & Lock CR boxes across millions of units requires exact mold tolerances. Standard mass-production lines often fail to meet this, resulting in jammed mechanisms or failed safety catches.

RETAIL VISIBILITY CONSTRAINTS

Strict state opacity laws prohibit transparent windows, preventing consumers from visually inspecting the hardware or oil. The packaging must communicate premium value entirely through exterior tactile feedback and high-craft printing

INNORHINO approached the LITTO project by bridging the gap between stringent CFR 16.1700.20 compliance and premium brand aesthetics. Every structural and visual solution was custom-engineered to dismantle stigmas and elevate the retail experience.
